This blog is not going to be anything special, it's just a way for me to record my journey to becoming a new me!
I'm a 26 year old female in a job that I love. It's not a job that I will become a millionaire in, however I would prefer to work in a place I am happy in then somewhere that I don't want to get out of bed for. I have a wonderful boyfriend who works away from home alot! This leaves me with plenty of time for stuffing my face full of junk food!
Only recently I realised how I fit the description of a comfort eater! I'm happy...I eat a bar of chocolate, I'm sad....I eat a large bag of Sensations Sweet Chilli with an entire tub of Nacho cheese dip, I'm lonely...a kebab tray or pizza will do. Even when I am feeling healthy, I'll demolise a box of ryvita thins with hummous!
I was a skinny kid until puberty hit! It's then that my boobs began to grow and my legs started getting hairy, I began to hit the awkward stage and slowly stopped the Irish dancing, Gaelic football, Camogie, Soccer, Rounders etc! I was never 'big' but I wasn't small either.
After school I got a handy job in a fancy deli; one of the perks was tasting the food, getting a gorgeous lunch and the odd(every day) goodie to bring home. I hit a size 14(16 on a fat day!). After 3 years my current job came up. Being happy and more confident helped me loose weight without even trying. I hit a small size 12, and then met Dave!
Dating meant hundreds of meals out, chips in Howth and ice creams down the beach. Moving in together was even worse! Takeaways, steaks, deep fried cheeses...the list goes on. This year Dave changed jobs which meant he isn't here Monday to friday so I am Home Alone! This has done nothing to help the healthy eating idea. I've found it very hard to buy fresh food for one person and not end up throwing half of it out.
This blog is going to tell my journey as I try to loose some weight. So here is some of my stats: I currently weigh 13 stone 2 pounds. I am a size 12/14 and I am really unfit!
